We were nominated for ‘Export Business of the Year’ and had some serious competition. Much to our surprise, we won and we’re absolutely over the moon!
It’s been an incredible year for us and we’re so grateful to have been shortlisted for so many awards. If we continue this way, we’re going to need a new trophy cabinet in the office!
The Welsh SME Business Awards ceremony was a celebration of the entrepreneurs and thriving businesses that service all industries across Wales. It celebrated the tenacity of individuals with enough grit and business acumen to drive their businesses to success in often challenging sectors.
Our Commercial Director, Carol Gillanders, said: “We’re thrilled to have picked up this award for Export Business of the Year! We are a Welsh-based business – we design, test and manufacture our products in Wales, and we’re passionate about contributing to the Welsh economy and taking our products to the international market. We love helping to showcase all that Wales and Welsh businesses can offer, so to be recognised for our contribution to exporting in Wales means a lot to us.
“Since launching the BriteAngle LED Warning Triangle, we have developed relationships with distributors in Iceland, Norway, Mexico, Germany, Sweden and Denmark – with our product selling in many more countries across the world. And we’re particularly excited about our most recent partnership with Australian distributor, Dometic. What a year this has been and we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store!”
Organisers of the event, Creative Oceanic, have delivered award ceremonies for nearly a decade in cities around the world. CEO of Creative Oceanic, Irfan Younis, said: “Congratulations to all winners and finalists of the 2nd Welsh SME Business Awards. We salute you for all you do to create jobs, service your industry and the Welsh economy. We’re excited to see how the SME campaign evolves over coming years.”
