Monthly Photography Competition


Enter our monthly photography competition for the chance to win a prize worth up to £150. 

From July to December 2019, we’ll be searching for the best photo featuring a BriteAngle LED Warning Triangle or BriteAngle MotoBrite.

To enter, simply send your picture, along with a brief description, your name, email address, telephone number, the date and location of the photo to sales@roadsafetydesign.co.uk

What to submit
Your photo must feature a BriteAngle LED Warning Triangle or BriteAngle MotoBrite and be:
  • landscape format (not portrait)
  • in full colour (not black and white)
  • sent as a jpeg file no bigger than 10MB
  • sent as an attachment (not embedded in an email)
All entries must be submitted by 23.59 BST on the last day of the qualifying month and the judge’s decision is final. Each winner will be announced during the first week of the following month.

Competition rules
1. Background
We, Road Safety Designs Ltd, are organising this competition to launch of our BriteAngle MotoBrite, offering a prize worth up to £150 every month from July to December 2019. These will be awarded to the person who (in the judge’s opinion) submits the best photo featuring a BriteAngle LED Warning Triangle or BriteAngle MotoBrite. Entries must be submitted by 23.59 BST on the last day of each month of the “Competition Period”. 

2. Eligibility
Entrants must be 18 or over and all images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them.

3. Originality and permissions
It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the consent of anyone who is identifiable in that image.

Entrants must ensure that the photographs they are submitting are their own work, that they own the copyright for them and that they do not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party or any laws.

4. Prizes and judging 
All Prizes are non-returnable and there are no cash alternatives.

All valid entries made during the competition period (July - December 2019) will be judged to see which is the most visually appealing interpretation of the brief. The winners will be chosen by an independent judge whose decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be notified by email or phone and announced by social media and on our website during the first week of the month following the monthly competition period. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, the judges reserve the right to disqualify them and select another winner from the eligible entries which were received before the closing date of the competition period.

5. Intellectual property rights
Entrants will retain copyright and moral rights in their submitted images however, by entering, all entrants:

a) grant Road Safety Designs Ltd non-exclusive rights to use the images to promote or celebrate the competition the images were submitted to or for similar future competitions within a five year period of the winners of the competition being announced; 

b) agree that the use referred to above may include publishing, displaying or reproducing the images (whether on the internet, social media or otherwise) or for promoting and celebrating the competition or similar future competitions; and,

c) agree that Road Safety Designs Ltd may contact them using the contact details they provide to discuss potential use of the images beyond the above. Such discussion and negotiation will be independent from the competition and will not affect entrants’ chances of winning. 

Road Safety Designs Ltd will endeavour to credit the photographer whenever the photographer’s image is used and published by Road Safety Designs Ltd.

6. General
All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all terms and conditions are adhered to. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

In consideration of being awarded the prize, the winners may be required to take part in publicity and their name and county may be published on the BriteAngle website as well as wider media (including social media) reporting on the competition.

The ‘BriteAngle’ warning triangle is designed to promote safety by its proper use and does not guarantee that a collision will be avoided or physical injury from a road accident will not occur. Proper use of ‘BriteAngle’ is to place in a visible position in accordance with the road users legislation in the country of use. Following its application all vehicle occupants should vacate the vehicle and take up a safe position away from the road and traffic. Always store the ‘BriteAngle’ in the case provided, failure to do so may result in damage to the product and so affect its performance and condition.
